Teaching Artist & Residency Sites Info & Forms

Descriptions | Forms | Residency Showcase

The VSAFL artist in residency program is one of our hallmark programs because of its positive impact on all participants including students, teachers, adults, administrators and staff.  There are several program areas in which teaching artists from the community reach out to clients in various sites. Programs which employ visiting artists include a pre-school literacy and arts based curriculum; students in ESE or inclusive classes; pediatric patients in healthcare settings; adults with disabilities in ARC sites; and teens at risk in Juvenile Justice sites.  It is required that VSAFL teaching artists have the knowledge and experience to work with children and adults with disabilities and/or have attended a VSAFL professional development program on disability awareness and inclusion.
